The Fatherhood of God and the Sonship of you

The way of life is not through the law in the post cross age. The way to life is new and alive because this WAY is the person of Jesus in you, for you and as you. This is the vicarious humanity of Jesus. Because Christ is in you, you are alive in spirit and life and have the capability to ignite all you touch with the infinite life of heaven. We need to live in this LIFE. He is a person who has already drawn you into the fellowship of God. Don’t be side-tracked by cunningly designed fables.

Sandra attended a prayer group and then left. She left following this exchange: “I can’t understand how they can’t ‘see the Sabbath’. Jane, her prayer partner quickly replied, ‘They don’t need it.’ This was too much for Sandra who had unwittingly sought life in her
gnostic beliefs.

Just as Jesus equated Himself with life, Paul equated law adherence as the absence of life and a crippled life. he wrote,

“Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children” Gal 4.25 NIV. You can make religion out of slavery and persuade yourself that your labouring is making you godly. But this is an illusion.

‘The Sabbath’ as it is so named in Adventism, is mostly preceded by ‘the’ to denote its iconic and ontological standing. But it’s adoption as a godly burden makes no difference whatsoever to your Godliness and is not mandated for post cross Believers. Sabbath-keeping ties us to the law because it only takes one law to define us as children of Moses and slaves of Adam. Live in Adam and we have negated all that is ours in Jesus. Sabbath-keeping is subtly malevolent because it separates us from Christ leaving us with a ‘christianity’ in which Jesus has little effect on our lives. As Paul says,

‘I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!" Gal 2.21 NIV. So did Jesus die for nothing for you?

Of course Christ died for everyone including those who leave the pearl of great price in the ground. But we must ‘believe to receive’. The difference between unfallen Adam and fallen Adam was BELIEF. The first Adam believed a lie. The Second Adam, Jesus Christ, believed He was the Son of God.

With Christ as your life, you are too. You are sons and daughters of God.

Law-keeping post cross is the same lie perpetrated by Satan that led to the fall. In the case of Sabbath-keeping it is the attempt to be Godly by adding something to Christ. Like all cultic and semi-cultic ideologies, an extra-boost of life is sought in something unorthodox and bizarre that is promoted as a ‘key’ or a ‘narrow’ way to life:
Gnostic root and branch.

There are some who accord the Sabbath special powers to bless and others who regard it as a kind of Messiah in that has been called ‘divine rest for human restlessness’ – which is who Jesus is for all.

The law has nothing to do with the infinite life that is found when Jesus is our life. Before the fall Adam and Eve were holy and whole
solely due to their relationship of oneness with God. They were as ‘gods’. They were sons of God in spirit and in truth.

You are sons in spirit and truth if you believe you are today. Not because you have ‘done’ something like wearing a burka or keeping a Sabbath. Sons and daughters because you believe what God believes and you have the mind of Christ. One with God and interwoven into the trinity as sons you have a Sabbath life. In Christ your life post fall is closer than it was pre-fall. You are interwoven in Jesus into the trinity.

‘On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you’ John 14.20 NIV. The day we realize this is the day we begin our born again life.

Should you have been formed spiritually from a culture derived from the words of books like Patriarchs and Prophets and The Great Controversy, you will have been shaped in a perverted gospel and will not have the mind of Christ. Truth is perceived not from
special knowledge (Gnosticism). But from the revelation of Christ by the Holy Spirit.

A perceptive Believer has written, “
The stingy requirements of religion are not the path to life, nor is it found in simply pleasing self. Jesus IS the narrow gate, Jesus IS the path of life, and Jesus IS the light and water of life. The gateway to life is not narrow because it is hard to enter; it is narrow because Jesus is the only way to life. You must cease from your religious labors to enter into Him. His yoke is easy and his burden is light and you will find rest for your souls in His life giving flow.” Kriston Couchey.
